The fruit of our two Marlborough vineyards were blended to produce this rich and flavoursome wine: Cowslip Valley (Waihopai), providing full, soft and luscious fruit weight, and Wakefield Downs (Awatere), bringing strength and focus.
| Tasting notes |
| A lifted and pungent bouquet, with passionfruit andpineapple, fighting for dominance among some intriguing floral notes. The full palate is powerful and rich. Flavours of gooseberry and pear join the tropical fruit following on from the nose. The wine is weighty and has a lingering and crisp finish. |
| Wine maker notes |
| A wine first produced in 2005 that is exclusive to restaurants and bars. An exceptionally good food wine.

| Technical notes |
| Particular portions of fruit were selected from our own vineyards in the Waihopai and Awatere valleys. After harvest the grapes were quickly crushed and pressed into stainless steel tanks where the juice was fermented at controlled cool temperatures to capture the intense varietal flavours. After some time spent maturing on lees, the wine was blended and bottled.
